Zeb on the Court

Wow - I have not posted in almost a week and a half. A lot has gone on in our lives, yet very little. We have spent time at the rec center gym watching Zeb play basketball and going back and forth to practice. We've spent time at church, work, home, been to Huntsville a few times (I love TJ Maxx, thanks Tim Mc and Sis!). Anyway, life at the Walker house is rather quiet right now and we are enjoying a very quiet weekend at home with very few plans! January brought clean-up from Christmas and basketball and NO SNOW! :( February brings my birthday, Valentine's day and hopefully a snow day! And of course more basketball! Zeb's season finishes up mid-February and we hope the Boaz Pirates get to continue playing through the end of the month!

I guess I have rambled enough! I am going to watch the weather and see what our changes of a snow day next week are! Oh yeah, we get a long weekend in February too!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MADISON!

Yesterday was Zeb's friend Madison's birthday, so Amy, Christy, and I took the kids (Jr. High youth from church, along with Ivy and Kendra) to Groovy Gallery to paint pottery and eat birthday cake! The kids had a great time painting and watching Idol.

I love going to the Groovy Gallery and watching Zeb paint. He picks out his pottery and paints whatever colors and designs he wants. He makes some one-of-a-kind pieces and that's OK. I will treasure them always. This trip he painted a mug and a plate. He did let me help with the mug, but not so much on the plate. He is anxiously awaiting the arrival of new mugs so he can paint for grandparents, aunts, and uncles (if the aforementioned are reading this, act surprised).

He painted mugs for Floyce and Ju-Ju (sitter that moved to NC) a couple of years ago. Well, when I went to mail them the lady at the post office ask about insurance and how much were they worth. I told her they were one-of-a-kind master pieces, irreplaceable! Of course, Floyce and Ju-Ju drink out of them every morning! So now we wait for the priceless works of art!

Oh yeah - Good Luck to Snead State cheerleaders at Nationals this weekend! Ivy and Kendra are on the squad!

The Sun Is Shining!

YEAH!!! The sun is finally shining and the sky is blue in Alabama! I was so sick of the rain!

It's Raining Again!

It is raining again and I've just about had enough! The sun has got to shine soon! Our yard looks like a lake and the streets like small rivers. The skies are gray and very depressing. Everything is wet and damp and muddy. Hopefully the sun will come out tomorrow!

"GREASE"

I had forgotten what a great movie "Grease" was! Tim got it for Christmas on DVD and we watched it tonight. I love it! When I was a teen (many, many years ago) I probably watched it a thousand times. I babysat for a couple that had it on Beta and I would watch it after the kids went to bed. I babysat for them often, so I got to watch it a lot!

Thoughts on the Sugar Bowl

OK - So the Tide did not Roll last night! Oh well! We have lots to look forward to next year! I never dreamed that we would be 12-2 this season. So we wait and look forward to Spring training, summer practice, and the 2009 season! Of course, we can also reflect on the 2008 Iron Bowl (36-0). ROLL TIDE ROLL!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Yesterday was clean-out closets and drawers day at the Walker house! Once we cleaned out we loaded it up and took it to the local Salvation Army. We decided to take the tax-deduction instead of waiting for warmer weather and having a yard-sale. We were ready to have it out of the house.
So now that I have cleaned out and given away - do I get to by more clothes and shoes? I am going shopping tomorrow!
Today is a morning of staying home and getting in my 40 minutes of walking and 15-20 minutes on the Wii Fit.

Dishes to be Washed!

Last night we had a great time with family and friends! Now the dishes need washing!

For several years now, we have invited friends and family over on Christmas night for food and fun. This year we grilled "burgers & dogs". We all ate too much, but it sure was good. We played BINGO, Wii, Rook, and basketball! Yes, I said basketball! It was very warm last night and is going to be a balmy 70 degrees today! Will I ever get to wear my new Ugg boots! Anyway, we had a great time last night and look forward to doing it all again next year, despite the dirty dishes.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and are looking forward to a fantastic 2009! I know I am (especially getting the to see the Tide play one last time before August)!
